About the Journal

Excursions is interdisciplinary - Our journal invites submission from any field of study, and issues form interdisciplinary collections.

Excursions is thematic - Each issue has a theme, proposed by the Call for Papers. Contributors are free to interpret the theme and use it in their articles as they see fit.

Excursions is peer-reviewed - We use a double-blind peer-review process. This means that both the authors identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.

Excursions is published online and in print - Our print editions are sent to authors and can be found in several universities in the UK. All articles are also published online on this website.

Excursions is Open Access - We subscribe to the open access movement, and the articles published at Excursions can be accessed online for free.

Excursions is run by postgraduates, for postgraduates - The Excursions editorial board is composed by PhD researchers at the University of Sussex. We encourage submissions by postgraduate students and early career researchers from any discipline.
